Midven is a specialist venture capital company providing investment to fast growing small and medium sized enterprises ("SMEs"), run by an energetic, experienced and hands-on team of investment managers.

Our focus is on dynamic businesses with the potential to create a strong competitive position in a large growing market, helping them to achieve their goals and build profitable businesses with attractive exit options.

We are looking for talented management teams who have the vision, energy, and expertise to create and grow a thriving business. We actively support the businesses we invest in, building close relationships and providing advice, guidance and opportunities.

Our initial approach is to invest up to £500,000 into any one opportunity. Once we are involved, we like to see things through to success and have the capacity, and appetite, to invest beyond this in subsequent investment rounds alongside other investors.

We will consider start-ups, early stage, growth, management buy-outs and management buy-ins, in any sector. Our particular areas of interest however, are the Medical/Biotech, Environmental Technologies, ICT and Software and Service sectors, where our investment team has specific expertise and experience.

Today we manage five funds, representing a total of £60m under management, and have an impressive track record of successful exits following our investments into over 100 companies to date.
